First, you need to get into the correct mindset. It doesn't matter if you understand women or not, they're not capable of being understood. You're a man, which means you are smarter than women. This means that you are superior to them. You should view them as a man views his dog - YOU'RE the boss, not the woman.
Of course, adopting this mindset doesn't happen overnight, especially since nowadays men are brainwashed into acting like little bitches around women from a young age. But once you do, you'll completely stop caring about what women think about you, because their opinion doesn't even matter. Do you care if the dog pooping in your front yard thinks you're a bad person? Nope. Same with women, you shouldn't care if they like you or not.
THAT is how you attract women. Women want to be with someone that has a equal/higher social status than them. You can show this in a few ways - showing off wealth, being famous, etc. But, since I assume you don't have wealth or fame, you need to let them think your social status is higher than theirs. This is where the "don't care about you" attitude comes in - since you don't care whether they like you, you're obviously (in their minds at least) higher up on the social ladder than they are. The guys that are telling a girl how pretty she is and doing nice things for her are doing the exact opposite of that - by treating her like she's "special" they are conveying that she's better than they are and that they would be lucky to have a girl like her. That approach might work on the fat/old chicks because their social status is so low they don't have much of a choice in mates (a woman's social status is determined exclusively by how attractive and young she is, hence it peaks between age 18-22 and then falls off a cliff after they hit 30). BUT, you're a cool guy, and you want to be banging the 10/10s, just like everyone else. So you follow my advice, and you will be banging them in no time.
Next step - now you've got the girl, and start to "fall in love" with her. STOP. Love is just a chemical reaction in your brain. It might cause you to think that she's "better" than all of the other girls, and that you couldn't live without her, etc. This is a dangerous way to think, because it leads to you acting like a little bitch around her. This will cause all of the initial attraction that she had towards you to go *POOF* and you lost the girl. So you need to keep your guard up at all times - I recommend showing a girl the door after no more than 3 months. And never, under any circumstance, marry a girl (especially an American one).
