First, those who broke into the Capitol building will be known and arrested for their crimes. Duh. This doesn't happen in front of a TV camera for your personal enjoyment. Just because you don't see an arrest the day the crime was committed, doesn't mean they'll escape justice.
Generally, in a democracy, it does happen "in front of a TV camera" - or, rather, it happens openly with some form of media scrutiny. "Justice must not only be done, it must be seen to be done" (only just discovered, on looking it up, that that quote is from
Lord Hewart, the then Lord Chief Justice of England in the case of
Rex v. Sussex Justices, [1924] - quite surprised it's of such recent vintage, to be honest)
In a culture where the law is very clearly not evenly applied, it seems especially-important. So, yeah, I want to see them arrested in full view of the media or I will doubt that it's happened.
