Generally, in a democracy, it does happen "in front of a TV camera" - or, rather, it happens openly with some form of media scrutiny. Sussex Justices, [1924] - quite surprised it's of such recent vintage, to be honest)

In a culture where the law is very clearly not evenly applied, it seems especially-important. So, yeah, I want to see them arrested in full view of the media or I will doubt that it's happened.

Second, if you wanted more people killed.... you have no idea what was waiting in the wings and ready to take action.
