There are at least 2 security guards and you have to get by them and the metal detector to get to the federal part of the building. All I have is the videos I have seen. Probably same info you have. She appeared lifeless on the ground, seconds after shot. My guess from that limited source is that the bullet may have struck her spine on the way out, and or the shockwave of impact shredded at least some of her cerebellum and or brain stem. From the limited info the video provides, she appeared "gone" the moment the bullet struck.
The impact would probably knock someone down. As she was climbing up at the time, it wouldn't take much to "kick" her back to the floor - as appeared to happen in the video. OTOH, having your brain severed from your body would also cause you to collapse. For, hopefully, obvious reasons.
