Good CCNA/CCIE study books

Can anyone recommend good books to buy for studying the CCNA or CCIE certifications? I've been told that there are 2 books by Jeff Doyle that are suppose to be the best books around for this subject. Gimme your recommendations and if someone happens to have the books by Jeff Doyle, PLEASE let me know if you're willing to sell it. Thanks guys!

first of all, you probably shouldnt be studying it if you dont know that it is CCIE, not CCEI.

and it wasnt a typo unless you just really happen to be unlucky and spell it wrong in the title and your post...

Thanks for the heads up. I do know it's CCIE, but did not realize I'd typed it CCEI.

Anyhow, I'm taking the CCNA course and was told by a former student that the Doyle books are exceptionally useful. More so than any other books he's read on the subject and he's read about 30. Even though the Doyle books are CCIE books, he mentioned that it will help me a great deal later in my CCNA course. Has anyone had any experiences with these books that can confirm how useful they are? Would hate to spend $70 a pop and find out that they're really no better than any other Cisco book.

Jeff Doyle's 2 books are excellent. I have both, and would not give either of them up.
Neither is really geared for tests as much as to raise your understanding of routing protocols, with emphasis on Cisco implementations. It also covers the Cisco proprietary protocols that you need to understand in a Cisco environment.
I would start with just the first book, and understand the IGP protocols well before you take on EGP's that the second book covers.
If you plan to work with Cisco routers seriously, I would recommend that anyone buy and read the first volume. If you have to understand BGP, the second one is as good.
