Good, cheap all-in-one printer?

It doesn't need to print amazing pictures. Just needs to be able to be send faxes, scan, and copy stuff. Also, it would be nice if the ink wasn't so expensive

any ideaS?

I haven't tried a lot of them but the Lexmark X5495 ($90) I have now does a good job at all 3 and is pretty small (width of a cable tv set top box). Black ink cartridge is $25. Now sure how much the color cartridges cost but I never use it. *shrug*

I own this one and it's decent, though I hardly ever print stuff so it's hard to tell, but I love the fact that it is fairly compact and can scan and print, and the cost to run is very low. (toner is cheaper then ink in the long run). .

seriously stay away from the all in ones.... at least the new ones.

here's an idea for ya, get a used cheap all in one that can scan/fax with a document tray then spend ~ 100 on a bw laser. That way you have it all without worrying about ink again, or at least not for 1000 pages

I have a Brother laser all in one that churns out page after page without a hitch. For color printing I use an HP designjet 130, gota love printing color posters.

I have a Canon laser AIO that I found through hot deals. Paid about $119 shipped from Buy.com

Great machine. Excellent print quality, built-in fax modem, built-in NIC so it's hooked up to my home network, automatic document feeder, etc. Toner cartridges are kind of spendy though. (still trying to find a good quality aftermarket toner cartridge)

When I need color, I have a Canon Pixma ink jet printer. Also does excellent quality printing, but ink gets expensive as hell when you use it a lot.

I bought the X6550 I think it is, from Sam's Club for 90$.. It seems decent.

Large black and color ink package is like 40$ from sams, too.

WiFi is the main reason we picked it up..
