in the galleria area the most chinese I think you'll find is "chinese cafe" on richmond; right next to 24 hr fitness (they also have a restaraunt in the chinatown area)
besides that..
pepper tree on westheimer next to blockbuster and kinkos
pf changs on westheimer right outside the loop in highland village

My wife likes peppertree (richmond actually) as she is vegan. I had something there that was ok.
I'm going to skip pf changs as it's too expensive for small portions. Although highland village is right where I am.
Folks I think I want a chinese resturant that serves me a main dish. Big enough for 2 to eat from. Lets say Kung Pao Chicken. With it I get fried rice in another big dish that me and my wife can both serve ourselves from. This would be ideal.
The other good thing would be a decent chinese buffet (gasp). I'm hungry!

Three criteria for a good chinese restaurant.
1. When you walk in you better see a BIG FREAKING AQUARIUM.
2. People should barely speak english.
3. You don't see very many white people.
