Anyone have any recommendations for a good cheap DDR pad for the computer or that can eventually through a connector be connected to the computer. I've heard stories that most break within 1-2 months but i'm looking for something that might last a bit longer. I'd prefer not to spend an arm and a leg and something that can be found somewhere in america (so i don't have to spend $45 for shipping like at lik-sang's site )

Ignitions are expensive, though they also have a more basic model which is much more durable than other no-name brands.

Levelsix has ripoff ignition-style pads for roughly $40 a piece, native USB even. I heard a few people say they were great. I just bought a couple of soft pads from them though since I just wanted to try it out for now.

just get the $20 Gamestop special (forgot the name brand), then get a piece of plywood that will fit under it and cover it with slightly overlapping durable plastic mat (usually you can get them in a rool, just cut sections and cover the mat) and staple it down on the sides.

It's cheap and should work good, but you may still want something better.

If you have a lot of extra money to burn, get a Cobalt Flux board. Hand made in America i think, and is even made out of steel. It's an awsome board, but costs somewhere around $300 or so. If you get a 2xCobalt Flux combo kit tho you save some money and get a railing for free!

My friend has one, it's awsome, but like i said, expensive. Get it if you're really serious about DDR. They even ran one over with a Ford Explorer and it still worked, so unless you weigh more than that you should be fine!!

$300!?
I'd rather use that money towards an X1900 or something slightly more important than a... DDR pad...
Thanks for all your input guys, i'm thinking of getting an RO Ignition 3 used from eBay. Good idea or would the thing burn out too quick?
