I have been shopping around for a decent mp3 player, and decided on the Nex II by Frontier Labs over the Archos 6000. I wasnt opposed to the internal HDD of the Archos and the capacity would have been great, but the prices are astronomical. The Nex II has a large following, and lots of good comments on the web so I focused in on the Nex II.
I began shopping around, and it looks like you can get them for as low as $85-95, from companies that dont have the best track records. Other more reputable companies like New Egg and Crutchfield sell them for $105-125. But this price does not include the Compact Flash card- so thats another $40-60 for 64MB. And, On top of that would be shipping.
Then, I ran across a company that was linked to the Frontier Labs Home Page, mp3playerstore.com its out of canada and had the whole rig w/ 64mb Compact Flash Card, carrying case etc. for $133 including shipping. This would be about $75 off of the other stores afer shipping. Seems like a good deal, but I am unable to find any kind of info on mp3 player store, just thought I would run it by the board to see if any one had any experience with them good or bad?
Here is the liknk:
