These are nice speakers, and they are a good deal. But I would recommend ACS 48's over them -almost as much juice over $100 cheaper. Still good price if you are looking for these. Up! ^

Took a quicklook, couldn't find pricing on the 4100's elsewhere, but the 3025's which are $79.99 on that site, can be found for $48 elsewhere....

Hot Deal? Hmm...dunno. For what it's worth, back in 97-98 they cost about $300-500. Plus they have good reviews...

JACKHAMMER, you must be kidding! the acs48 are nothing but pitiful toys compared to the 4100s! if you own them both you know it!

Yeah these do look pretty good. This is a repost, check out this thread. This is worth the repost though for those who didn't see it the first time. They look like good speakers and this would have been the hottest deal in the world a year and a half ago. The only problem with them I could find is that they're starting to be outdated. I tried to find reviews for them and all of the reviews were a year or two old, but they gave great marks. Bottom line I think this is a good deal but if you're looking for the state of the art speaker system look elsewhere

Brotherman-my roomate owns one set, and i own the other. And for the price difference I am saying ACS48 wins hands down. I think a diff. of ~10w on the sub is not a whole lot.

There are a lot of things that measures a good sound system because wattage isn't everything. The system response, the imput impedance, and the crossover frequencies also have a lot of weight. Not to mention how well the subs and the satellites are built. I mean you could have a 1000 watt amp and if your satellites and subwoofer can't handle it, then you have a pretty crappy system. I own both the ACS48s and the 4100s and the 4100s blow the ACS48s away. Not that i use either since I also have the Klipsch Promedias. =o)

StonyThug...good audio doen't really date. It's not like newer speakers are faster or have more memory - the signal source has gotten better for cheaper just lately (digital, DVD but the only new technology in speakers is to add more (5.1) and flat panels, and we all know they don't sound good (yet). Most musicians prefer valve amps over transistor amps, what does that tell you?
