Are you looking for an improvement, different fit, sealed in-ear design, etc.?

Here's a good website I refer people to: HeadRoom: Right Between Your Ears

Just browse by type - they have several earbud and in-ear 'phones you can peruse thru.

They don't sell it, but I'm using a pair of Shure in-ear 'phones that I love as well.

I have the Shure E2Cs and I like them quite a bit (once I figured out the best combination of covers for my ears).

I do not have any Ipod, I use a Toshiba GigaBeat, but I'm sure they would be good with your pod.

sennheiser should just buy shure so they can have both the best headphones and the best earphones. shure earphones smoke anything else on the market.

I use Shure earbuds (forgot model) for my Creative Zen Micro. They're great.

Have you listened to the CX-300? Great buds without the wrap over your ear-pull tightly-until they fit procedure that the Shures have. I have both the Shure E2c and the CX-300 and love them both equally. The CX-300 go on easier for quick on the go music. For long trips I use the E2c.

First in-ears I've heard about were Etymotic Research - you can check them out too, but I think they're above the price point you're looking for?

If you have a chance to listen to them in person, you'll love what Shure, EtyRes, and Ultimate Ears have to offer. Many people wonder why they're so much $$$, but pop a couple in your ears and you'll wonder how they get such great sound out of essentially what are known as "earbuds."

The more expensive offerings will have multiple drivers, tuned ports, etc. All situated in your ear and giving you some serious sound.

I've got the E4c's from Shure. I didn't listen to the E5c's simply because I most likely would have wanted them, but couldn't spend that much money.

BTW, they're great on the plane with a PSP. Especially if you have your usual newborn baby behind you not liking the flight as much as you. They seal out pretty much everything around you.

LOL. You'll love them. If you can spring for more, listen to the E4c's (or [gasp!] the 5's :Q ).

Good luck!

e3c are the best bang for the buck in the shure department.

The CX300 might be good, but they dont even come close in sound quality to e3c/e4c with memory foam inserts.

I tried the E5 and can honestly say if I had a few hundred bucks to spend friviously I would have grabbed them. The bass is AMAZING on the e5.

Ive heard that there are some Creative Lab ones that use exactly the same drive that either some Shure's or some other company uses in theirs for like 29 dollars compared to like 89 for the Shure or whatever it was. Anyone remember which ones they were??

I use the Etymotics and auditioned against the Shures. No offense but these are soooo much better than the Shures.

If you like very warm sound and more than normal low end buy the Shures. If you like more natural buy the Ety's.

Creative EP630. Supposedly they're the same thing as the Sennheiser CX300 and the Sharp MD33 (although the Sharps are 4-pole, whereas the Creatives are the more conventional 3-pole).
