Good enough for next gen gaming ?

Mobo: ASUS M5A97 r2.0
Ram: Gskill SNIPER F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR
PSU: CORSAIR SMPS TX 750 V2
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 tri-x

I already have a case,hdd,optical drive,mouse,keyboard and a 1680×1050 22inch monitor which i probably will upgrade after buying a new pc(after 2,3 months)

Are these parts suitable for next gen gaming. For upgrading these parts i have a budget of around 1149$(70000INR).
Should i drop the r9 290 and go for 280x and invest in betta mobo and monitor.

I would definitely go for an i5 over FX 8350. Either i5 3570k or 4670k. If that means dropping down to 280x then so be it.

FX 8350 significantly lags behind an i5, difference can be as much as 50% or more in some games.

I second the i5 at least. Consider 4570 + B85 board (Gigabyte B85 Sniper has a better audio codec) + GTX 780.

Do you want to overclock or no? If not, a non-overclocking i5 and a B85/H87 board would be better.

It looks like the Indian price of the R9 290 is right about where it should be, so you're lucky that cryptocoin mania hasn't affected prices like it has here in the US. That means that the 290 is a reasonable option (whereas it's overpriced here).
