Good Headphones for Gaming?

I've never heard of the brand, but two of my buddies have 'em, and they are awesome. The cord is like 14 feet long, so they are practically "wireless", and they sound EXCELLENT. Also, they are 5.1 surround sound on a headphone, is that cool or what? Just make sure that you use the "box" that they give you, it improves the sound greatly.

I have the Zalman Theater 6 Surround Headphones, and have been most pleased with them. Not only do they sound great, but my 4 year old son has put them to the durability test (its certainly passed!).

hd497, just a tiny bit more, at 50, but better getting something decent then having to spend twice by upgrading later
its open. better sound, but cant use if someone needs silence in the same room.

I have the same pair as Kaido, Sennheiser HD-570's. Had them for several years now, and they rock. Durable as hell, really long cord, and they sound unbelievable.

Go for Grado SR-60 (though SR-125 is a lot better and also costlier). I own a Sennheiser HD-580 which is great just for classical kinda music. It has adequate bass but not the kind necessary for gaming. Yet I would personally prefer the Senns if you would like to use your headphone for other purposes included, like listening to country, jazz or classical. I am quite an audiophile I guess The HD-580 lacks midrange and bass which are definetly essential for gaming.

SR-60 retails for like $60 which is a little above your budget but I would recommend this one if you can make the stretch.
