bought cartridges from
Allink4less.Com
they cost a little over a dollar for the color and under a buck for the b/w
look fine to me ( some are 'expired' but they work like brand new epson cartridges. )
they are bizrate certified, and they respond to emails.

the cartridges came in 2 days! They cost $30 and $36 in the brick and mortars
they have G&G printed on them and are airtight sealed.

So far I have bought from MegaToners & MonsterInkJets and I can't believe I have ever paid retail for a cartridge.

I'll check out this place after my current stock runs out... Sometime next year

Be very careful with these bargain cartridges. I used these in my Canon i9100 photo printer and the printhead clogged up. The printer was only 2 months old when it happened. The repair was under warranty, but the nearest repair center was 75 miles away and I didn't have my printer for 2 weeks.

But to be fair, I've used cheap carts. in my Epson 870 and they work pretty good. YMMV

how much was the shipping? I think monsterinkjets is offering free shipping on all orders nowadays. But good deal, nonetheless.

Thanks.

No, you get the cheapest carts megatoners can find on the wholesale market at any given time, which is oftentimes the same G&G brand that this place is carrying.

Monsterinkjets.com has the same prices with free shipping. However, I've found that their cartridges (for the Epson Stylus Color 880) weigh 1/3 less than comparable full-price ones. = less ink. I've just ordered some sets from allink4less.com and I'll check THEIR weight.

Just over $5 for UPS ground.
$4 for USPS.
And the ink cartridges for my printer are only $.10 more at Monsterlinkjets (free ship)
I don't know about the less ink in cartridge stuff, but the ink amount meter shows the monsterinkjets generic ink (rainbow brand) to be full. However my printer eats ink too fast.
The color ink I got was pathetic. I head cleaned it over 6 times and it still had some streaks on a photo I was trying to print. At first some of the colors would even show so the whole photo was blue or green. I would have thought these would atleast print somewhat accurately. The headcleaning ate over 40% of the ink even before I printed out a poor quality, but good enough photo.
The black ink is fine, maybe some head cleaning needed here and there.

I don't have a "mainstream" cartridge to compare with at the moment.

1 Epson Photo 820 Color cartridge for $2.69...nice

Shipping...$5.29 (UPS)/$3.99(USPS)...ummm, not so nice. When I select USPS, the cart says

"USPS is not a valid UPS shipping method. Tax or shipping may be added to your order. Or you may choose a different shipping method"

not sure exactly what that means

Which one did you get from tylermartin? USA Inkjets, Nectron "blue box", or Rainbow brand?

So, this brings up a point I've been waffling on for years now.

I've got an HP PSC500 which, frankly, I've loved. It does everything I need it to do quite well. The one drawback, as we know with all these HP, Lexmark etc..is the real money-making business for the companies..... TONER costs!

Since I've bought the thing, I've only used HP cartridges in it which are quite expensive. Everytime I go to buy non-HP cartridges, I get nervous about all the horror stories people have had with remanufactured/substitute cartridges and wind up buying HP again.

So, I'd like to solicit opinions/suggestions about what would be the best company/type of non-HP cartridge to get for my PSC500. I'd like to move away from $35-$40 cartridges to something a little more reasonable.....

Just never buy the Staples-branded ink for the Canon printer. The stuff is junk. The cartridges don't lock in place as good as the other cheapie generic carts do. Plus, the quality was horrible. I took mine back to Staples a few weeks ago to exchange them for the real deal. Staples provided me with the real Canon carts for only $5.00 more than their cheap junk. I can't believe Staples is charging so much for their carts.

Anyway, I now have a $15.00 (set of 4) carts in my i550 that came from a computer show for $15.00. The quality is head and shoulders above the Staples carts. However, I'll still need to place an on-line order for some backup carts.

I bought from ink4art.com and got crap cartridges for my Epson 890. The red is alway clogging up. I've got to run the head cleaning utility every two days to keep it working at all. Plus one of my black one leaked right through the seal. Their customer service wouldn't help as I had owned them too long (that's what I get for buying too many at a time).

Actually, the problem might be your Epson printer. I thought Epson made great printers, until I started having all kinds of issues. I've been running a Canon i550 for over a year now - best printer I've owned when compared to the two Epson printers that I've had in the past.

Epson has been known to have issues - even with the Epson-branded carts.
