Obviously voting on things you've never even read is the proper form of debate. Sad to say, its the present GOP leadership that is acting as the whore party by doing everything possible to prevent an honest debate. By concentrating only on reform policies downsides while ignoring the downsides of our present policies.

Yes, that one was enacted in far too much of a hurry. (You may have heard of that 9/11 thingy.)
Still, the Patriot Act by the Republicans seems to have been rather thoroughly trumped by pretty much everything by the Democrats. My favorite was the bill that the Republicans forced to be read and it was discovered the Democrats weren't actually finished writing it yet. I guess it's just lucky for us that the Democrats are so trustworthy, huh?
I also remember being told Iraq had WMD's and ties to 9/11 making the use of force not only necessary but ASAP. The heath care debate has been going on for many months but to hear those on the right (at least those I know personally) talk it's being 'crammed down our throats'.
And it was the Democrats said the bank bailout bill was so important that it needed to be passed without debate, and now we're stuck crying about how the banks were bailed out and are again making massive profits while the rest of the US is still taking it up the tailpipe.
Yep, Democrats are so much better than Republicans. :roll;
