Good Layer 2 PoE Switches?

Anyone have any experience with l2 managed poe switches? The only L2 ones Cisco makes are 24 port max, and I need about 120 ports on 1 floor, and another 65 or so on another. (5 and 3 switches with little to no redundancy on each floor). The switches are about $1800 each, not including smartnet.

Are there any good switches out there. 48 port (all PoE) would be nice, 24 port is OK as well. 10/100 is all that's required, but if 10/100/1000 is relatively inexpensive, I will look into that as well.

Thanks.

Edit: Looks like the HP 2610-48-PWR fits the bill pretty well. Anyone have any experience with HP switches? How similar are these to Cisco switches configuration wise?

What kind of PoE device are you running on it? If it's a legacy Cisco device (older Aironets, 7940 and 7960 IP phones for example), that will limit your choice significantly.

There is a dongle that can be used with compatible switches (Dell switches are the only ones I know to be 100% compatible besides Cisco), but otherwise you're limited to Cisco.

If it's standard 802.11af, then the HPs will probably work well. I've always had good luck with HP ProCurves.

They're Mitel 5330 IP Phones and later on down the road, we'd be using newer aironets (1130 series most likely). It appears they're both 802.11af complianet, so I think we should be good with the HP switches I have in my op. 2K for 48 ports should save us quite a bit of money over the Cisco switches + smartnet contracts over time. Thanks.

I use the Dell 3448P and 3548P L2 POE switches. They have 48 ports and 2 gbic ports for Fiber links. Dell also has a 6248P that is all gigabit POE. It is a full layer 3 switch though, and fairly expensive.

Agreed. We have 3 of the 3560s in our organization(at different branches) and they work out great.
