Good lord McDonald's new greeting is dumb

Just went there to get a triple cheeseburger and large diet coke, no ice. So good. I've now got 3 days to live haha.

But I heard their new stupid greeting again. The cashier asks "what can I make you today"? Not what can "we" make you today. What can *I* make you today. As if the person asking the question is also going to make me my sandwich. Which is clearly not the case.

Is McDonald's really so stupid nobody figured this out, other than a guy in ATOT? Unbelievable.

Actually he isn't. He has cultivated that personality just for that show. Talk to anyone who knows him personally or has met him personally and you'll find he's actually just an everyday guy (with amazing cooking skills).

Yup, I know someone who met him at an airport, took pictures and was super cool. You can see on the TV shows his good side.

Where I'm from, they play what sounds like a prerecorded greeting. If there is a male cashier, it will be a pre-recorded female greeting. If there is a female cashier, it will be a pre-recorded male greeting. So, no only will that person not make you a sandwich today, but that person who said the greeting is probably not even in the building.

They're just preparing to replace all the workers in the back with robots. Then, when the worker at the counter presses buttons, they'll actually be making your food (by way of the robots.)

Then, of course, most of the workers behind the counter will be replaced by either self-serve kiosks or people in call centers appearing on monitors. So there won't be more than one employee in the entire restaurant.

OK, so that's $.50 less but my phone doesn't do "apps". I call it the "Barney Rubble" phone LOL. 110% theft-proof, even a homeless person wouldent steal it, close to indestructible and with 25 pixels to drive the battery last's for 4-5 days. The alarm sound is also 100% effective, it's the most annoying, ear-gnawing sound imaginable delivered at an amazing loudness for such a small device.

No shame, friend. I had that exact kind of phone (mine was by LG) until a couple months ago when I got a free obamaphone from access wireless that was a basic smart phone. The deal is actually a $1 savings though, buying one big mac for $3.99 and getting one free versus getting 2 for $5. Never the less, if you're technology challenged there is an alternative; McDonalds accepts their competitors coupons. I abuse the hell out of this with Burger King coupons because they print so many of them every single month. A buy one get one Whopper or buy one get one Big King coupon works the same way for the Big Mac.

Every time I do it they tell me to tear the coupon in such a way that the expiration date is still on there for next time but I always get away with it. Oh, to be poor!

I can afford a smart-phone but I'm just not a phone "person". Any long chats are done at home via my Magic-jack. I think my co-workers constantly making me the butt of many jokes over the Barney-Rubble phone makes me want to keep it even more. I also have a Nexus 7 (2013) as my crapper-companion, I bought it off Craigslist for $60.

I haven't tried magic jack. I just got the OBIHai box that uses your internet for unlimited calling through google voice. Get internet for $15 and the phone for free. When I tell people I get unlimited calls and internet for fifteen bucks people are in disbelief.
