Good Modular Power Supply?

I'm interested to see what people think would be the best modular power supply for the following components:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Sapphire Radeon 512 MB GDDR3 X1800XT
Epox NP3+Ultra Socket 939 Mobo
1 GB PC 3200 DDR RAM
Seagate 7200.9 160 GB SATA II HDD
Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 zs Platinum Sound Card
NEC 16X DVD Burner

I like the idea of modular so that I can manage cords and get a little better airflow. I'm thinking I need at least 450 watts - anyone have any good suggestions? Doesn't seem like there are a ton of choices out there yet for modular PSUs - but maybe I'm blind!

Thanks in advance.

I've had my OCZ Modstream 520W since December of 04 without any problems. Haven't had any experience with any other modular PSU's... but for OCZ =

Thanks man, I like the specs on that one - people seem to be complaining about extra stiff cables though.

Anyone else have any other recommendations?

Let me propose a radical idea. Make your own "modular" power supply.

Buy a regular power supply, open the cover, then remove the leads your system won't need.

I just did it with a Fortron 500W and cleaned up a lot of cable clutter.

I'm using the Liberty 620 and have no issues. The calculator says it's far undersized for the machine but I think the calculator was programmed by the weatherman in Saba.

Never had a burning smell either - perhaps (Enermax?) load banks 'em for a few hours before boxing them? Antecs always had that smell - kind of good but not as good as the 44 magnum permamarker in my drawer.

I personally would sugest against Modular IMO, they are a PITA to work with, but I am currently using a OCZ 520w modstream. Works great no porblems. I resleeved mine because i hated the cable (pics in sig). But all in all it gets the job done.

Most people know me as being 100% PC Power & Cooling!!
But I have always stated there are only 2 ways I would ever go modular.....
IMO Hiper Modular is the way i would go!!

The other way I would go modular is to buy the PSU and let these people do it..

Also the Enermax Liberty also rocks!!

nice soldering. i think some undergrad engineer can do a better job. way to be reliably? nice tool box that it comes with? bling bling shiny case and shiny housing and shiny cables. in the link provided "they are not exeptional products.." i wouldn't even compare these psus to FSP or enermax, maybe better to put it up against TT and Sunbeam. i'm sorry i'm not really into the whole bling look with shiny parts to show off. and i dont feel that i need to provide links to reflect my opinion. OP stick with enermax liberty series if u want modular or have one custom made for you at performance-pcs.com.
