i test drove a jetta and passat diesel last august , i liked them both
hopefully i'll buy one in december or maybe july if i get lucky

Better buy them this year - they will not be sold in the 2007 Model Year (the models arrive here this fall).

Why not?

new emissions standard go into effect - the current diesels cannot conform without uria filters, which the government has yet to approve for use.

It can also reach 137mph and return 58 mpg, with both saloon and estate versions. (Sorry, Not available in the USA.)

all those numbers are better than the camry hybrid.
