Good Music Player Apps

I just found out that Songbird is now abandonware and is already having issues with bluetooth since the latest update.

I really liked Songbird. It was the only app that handled my music like iTunes did back when I had an iPhone. And yes, iTunes is the one thing that I'll give Apple credit for.
I really really don't like Google Play, and PowerAmp is okay but it has some flaws.,

Any other recommendations as far as decent music players go.

The main features I liked about Songbird were:

The ability to see which letter you are scrolling to when scrolling fast down a long list.

The back button doesn't exit the program, just goes to the previous screen.

Layout similar to iTunes.

On the fly playlists.

Well you should be more specific, because based on your criteria poweramp meets everything except for design like iTunes.

Not exactly. I have poweramp and it does only the last feature.

I don't know what to tell you then... If I scroll through lists keeping my thumb on the right edge of the screen, it shows the first letter. And I use the back button for navigating through the app when needed without issue. Playlists are also easy to manage, so most of what you asked for seems to be covered.

Like I said before, you need to be more specific. Based on how little information you gave poweramp fits the bill for most of your requirement, but you say it doesn't... So I need some guidance to know why poweramp didn't work for you so we can find something that will.

you could try player pro, I have been looking for something like "someplayer" on the extinct maemo OS. I cannot find any android player that can queue a track within the now playlist as next to play without the app readding the tracks to the now playlist, instead just play the tracks in the desired order without reassembly of the playlist.

You could always root and use CM and get apollo (its CM's music player and I love it)
