Mr. President, we?d love to congratulate you and the people of the United States on the beginning of a new phase of democracy, freedom and prosperity and we wish you and the American people the best, as they have led the liberation of Iraq and sacrificed their sons and daughters for the freedom of the Iraqis; the historical achievement that the United States has accomplished together with the other liberating countries.
The united States and the coalition, among all other nations were the ones who recognized the suffering of the Iraqi people and saved them from a regime that was more lethal and more destructive than any weapons of mass destruction. A regime that murdered, slaughtered and enslaved Iraqis for long, dark decades, denied them their freedom and their right to live a decent life until God inspired you and helped you to rescue us, liberate our country and put us on the road of freedom and democracy.

Mr. President, we-the Iraqis-are on your side and we?ll keep supporting and blessing your efforts in eradicating terrorism inside and outside Iraq and all those who carried weapons against the liberating coalition forces and the new Iraqi police, hunting down the criminals who murder innocent civilians, whether Iraqi or American civilians.

Just read a couple of articles, one from a Catholic priest who had just returned. He stated he spoke with very few Iraqis who were against our presence, the majority of them were gratefull for our help in removing Saddam and restoring to them the freedoms they now enjoy.

Fact is the people there are earning far more money and enjoying a better quality of life than before the war and are very happy to have it that way.

Iraqis think Bush is so great they are preparing a 21 carbomb salute tonight. Why don't you head on over and see how great Iraq is and how thankful they are that we are killing their familys.

Why don't you accect good news from there? You have SERIOUS problems.....

No, we ALL do and it's called Iraq.

You honestly believe the majority of those fighting us are Iraqis?

Actually there really are, but there are some insurgents...

Alistar7, I know that the facts are most Iraqi's are going to embrace their newly found freedom and Saddam is a evil indiviual. What I don't like is how we where brought to war and the reasons for it.

I recently invited two Marines to speak to my son's cub scout pack.

One of them served in Iraq for 8 months.

He said that the Iraqi's were glad that the US troops were there.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/w.../2004-11-15-iraq_x.htm

In a telephone interview with reporters at the Pentagon, Marine Col. Michael Regner, operations officer for the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, said U.S. and Iraqi forces had captured more than 1,052 prisoners in Fallujah, most of them are Iraqis but some foreigners.

"Very few of them are giving up," Regner said. "They're fighting to the death."

Just when I thought this forum had reached a new low, you manage to dig the hole a little deeper.

Good job.

As every dead Iraqi knows, a US bullet is better than a Saddam bullet any day. Iraqis are still dying. It's just that we changed who is doing the killing.

Like I give a sh!t whether the Iraqis are free or not. If they wanted their freedom so bad why didn't they depose of Saddam instead of letting us do it for them at the cost of over 1100 of our soldiers lives.

I think most Americans feel like that and the only reason many of us supported the invasion is because we foolishly believed the Dub and his nefarious network of Neocons when they told us about vast quantities of WMDs that threatened our own security. If we were told the reason we were going over there was to free those ***s I think most of us would have said "Fsck That"

The difference is that they expect us to leave in the end Not maintain a prescense like in South Korea, etc. My own parents are glad we helped remove Saddam, but they are opposed to American presence for too long.
I bet you that even militants are glad they are gone, they just don't want us to build permanent bases there.
