Good original Xbox games?

I've got a 360 and thought I might pick up an original Xbox game or two that I missed. Anyone have any suggestions for "must play" games? I've already beaten the Halo's and wasn't terribly impressed.

Forza 2 is coming soon, so I would just wait. Look at the list of playable games on xbox.com for your xbox 360.

KOTOR 1 was amazing.

Halo 1, of course.

Anyone remember what that game was called where you had a futuristic sports team that had to throw a disc through a hoop?

What RPGs and shooters are the best for the xbox 1 (that do not have a PC port).

I'll second Mercenaries. It was a hell of a lot of fun if you like GTA. It's like GTA without and the stupid missions (e.g. no picking up your GF, delivering pizzas, spraying graffiti, or whatever else GTA games have you do at times) and kick ass military vehicles.

I'll also second Deathrow. It was a great game that was underrated and there's really nothing else like it. My best friends and I likely put hundreds of hours into that game. I really wish it had done well enough to warrant a more feature rich sequel. Be warned though that it isn't perfectly emulated on the 360. For some reason the actual in-game portion runs windowed (black bars on all sides) while the menus are full screen. The music also skips at times.

Upon your comment I decided to look for the game. It turns out that game is not suported by the 360. It has not made the list at this time and might not ever... Bummer, I was going to look forward to playing it.

No kidding. I knew it was going to be bad when I had to lookup a walkthrough for the first boss and then resorted to a trainer for the second boss. I got to the third level and quit, but I need to pick up where I left off. Then again, I'm sure my suckage will continue.

That sucks, Mercenaries was a fun game. These days, most GOOD games don't keep my attention more than a few hours (see Ninja Gaiden comments above), and I made it through 75% of Mercenaries.

No offense, but I cannot for the life of me figure out why the hell so many people like that game. It is the stupidest game I have seen in ages. Of the above-mentioned, I'd give extra props to: Crimson Skies, Mercenaries (absolutely one of my favorites in a LONG time), Ninja Gaiden Black, Riddick (very pleasant surprise), and KotOR. Each totally unique from one another, so it should give you a good start.

It's funny when I fought him at the end of the game it only took 2 tries and he was one of the easiest bosses at the end. IDK why they did that.

Here's a few other Xbox games I've liked:

Halo 1/2, Mercenaries, Forza Motorsport, Fable [Lost Chapters], Jade Empire, Gun, Crimson Skies, Fuzion Frenzy is a fun game,... sure there's some more, but I haven't played my roommate's Xbox in a while.

Just be careful if you are using the Xbox 360 as your console when it comes to Xbox 1 games. A LOT of games (some good ones) are not supported by the backwards compatibility list. Check this official list here before you buy the game.

I have both on my PC. Funny thing is I beat KOTOR 2 for the first time last night

Also got Riddick on my computer.

JE looks very promising, I'd like to pick it up. Before I bought my 360 they even had open box copies of JE for $5 each at BB, and I thought about buying one, but decided against it. Wish I'd jumped!

Question, are Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black two different games?
