Good original Xbox games?

JE looks very promising, I'd like to pick it up. Before I bought my 360 they even had open box copies of JE for $5 each at BB, and I thought about buying one, but decided against it. Wish I'd jumped!

Question, are Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black two different games?

NG and NG Black are very similar. Black is an update version of the game with a few new things. It's mostly the addons (weapons, arena matches, etc) from the downloadable Hurricane Packs packaged with NG into a new game. I believe the camera is also controllable with the right analog stick now (one of the complaints with NG). So they are probably similarly priced... may as well get Black. There is a ton of very tough arena matches that Black has, so there's even more gameplay after you finish the very long and hard, but satisfying story mode. BUY THIS GAME. It's awesome. Quite hard even on Normal, but once you get the hang of Ryu's l33tness, it's not too bad. Check out Gamefaqs if you need help. Some of the levels are tough!! 1st boss is unusually difficult, but again once you get the strategy down for him it's not too bad. Don't give up... superb game!

edit: Speaking of Black, I'd add that Black for Xbox is a pretty sweet game. One of the better FPS games on the Xbox IMO.

Same here. Great, original, fun, ridiculous, hilarious, good story. Many attributes of an excellent game. It has its flaws, though, believe me.

Ninja Gaiden is amazing, I played it for two hours and was absolutely in love with it. I couldn't get past the second boss, though (the guy on horseback... ).

The first boss isn't TERRIBLY hard, but he is really tough. I accidentally used my revive thing against him, but won with my second life.

Hrm, so it looks like I'll try to pick up a copy of Jade Empire, Ninja Gaiden Black, and Halo 2. I'd pick up mercenaries but if it's not compatible with the 360 it'll do me no good.

Alright, quick questions:

I went to an EB games in the mall and they had Jade Empire: LE for $13 and Ninja Gaiden for $8 (non-black). Can all the content from NG: Black be downloaded for free or does it cost XBL points? Also, can updates for original Xbox games even be downloaded on the 360?

Unfortunately I can't play either game I purchased right now. Bell South has royally screwed up our internet (been out since 2 Friday's ago) and we can't connect, and my 360 is still "1.0" so I can't play BC games yet (DOH!)...

Halo 2 is still expensive everywhere, cheapest I saw was $19.99 for the "Limited Edition tin" at some backwoods used game store, and I'd rather not spend that much on it...I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Also, is the only thing I'd need to download for Ninja Gaiden the "Tornado Packs" or are there other goodies that make the game more enjoyable?

And finally, for Jade Empire, do I put the "bonus content" disk in first to install the new character or does the stock JE disk have it on there (even though the basic disk doesn't say "Limited Edition" on it anywhere)?

I really liked Munch's Oddysee. Many reviewers didn't like it, but I loved it. There was a section where it got repetetive, but other than that, the game was awsome.

Still waiting for someone to let me know if I can download updates/content for original Xbox games and also to let me know if all the content from NG: Black is free or if it costs extra to download it for Ninja Gaiden.

Did they ever release and updated version of KOTOR2 to fix all (or a lot at least) of the bugs? I got that game when it first came out and fought through all the crashes just because the game was good enough to deal with it because I'd already been hooked on it since the first one. However a newbie to the game could be severely put off (or just anyone with less patience than me) by the bugs and glitches and would be reason to get those games for PC instead because of free and easy updates and patches.

I'm pretty sure that the downloads for the original are free on the 360. I believe all the NG stuff was free, but I can't check as I only have Black. IIRC, NG: Black has some stuff not available for the original. I'm not really sure with what though, because I didn't have Live back then so I didn't get the dl packs, I just bought Black.
