Good place to buy unlocked factory refurbished phones?

I need a T-mobile S5 but I don't want to pay for new.

I know that T-Mobile sells certified pre-owned but it appears I need to buy a plan with the phone - I just want a phone.

There are sellers on Amazon but they seem kind of sketchy despite their high ratings. A lot of people say they are receiving phones that are nowhere close to being in refurbished condition.

There have been a few deals of the S5 for $300 or less (refurbished).

FYI, amazon is selling the Moto X 2nd gen for $300 new. Check bands to make sure t-mobile compatible.
