Good places to buy GF6800 video cards in Canada??

NCIX price list on Geforce 6800's (and GT's)

I can get a 6800 fromt hese guys for ~$400CAD the GT is like almost 200 bucks more... is there any place that sells GT's for less in Canada? Also I heard I should avoid asus GT's because they aren't "real" GT's is this true?

From what I have heard quite a few of the GTs can be quite nicely overclocked to ultra specs!!!

At the rate video cards are released theres no point in spending an extra $200 dollars for the GT, that would make it $600CAD, which is way too much for a video card. I could go out and buy a PS2 or an Xbox with that and rent plenty of games. The max I've spent in the past is $400 on a card /w tax or ship up to $500 - Voodoo1, Voodoo2, Voodoo3, Geforce3, Geforce4 have all been around or under $400. Dont forget tax up in Canada is 15%. So for a $580 dollar GT you're spending ~$684 for a video card that's "only" $595 with ship+tax = $684, I could buy all three game consoles and a few extra's that kind of cash.

Yes Asus borked their 6800 & 6800GTs.

Their "GT" uses DDR1 ram and only 128 megs at that. Prices at $485 on Ncix. I think it's a tad faster then your normal 6800s but for the money you might as well get a 'real' GT that has 256 DDR3 or somebody elses 6800 which is cheaper, like Leadtek's $405.

Their "normal 6800" is the Gamer's Edition, priced at $576 on Ncix. It has the 256DDR3 ram and it's...a normal 6800 gpu. Sure it's faster then other 6800s but at that money you might as well buy a faster GT.
