If it's just an air filter it's probably not going to do that much. With K&N's you also have to oil the filter to keep it running smoothly, if you oil it too much you can screw up your MAF sensor.

If you want to increase horsepower and possibly gas mileage then you'd probably want to look into an intake system instead of just an airfilter. The intake will give your truck a deeper sound in the engine and allow for more air to pulled into the engine, potentially giving you greater power and possibly even better gas mileage.

Deep sound and chrome do not horsepower make. The intakes that allow colder air do. But yeah, if it's and intake that's less restrictive than the factory intake, you could get some, but who knows whether it be any more than what a K&N would give you.
