Three months for fleas, one month for ticks. Frontline is the only one that kills ticks. I suggest Frontline TopSpot Plus instead of Frontline TopSpot. It contains an additional ingredient that breaks the flea lifecycle by keeping eggs from hatching.
Anno: my vet won't give me a script to buy through the internet, but will pricematch internet price if I print out the page and show it to them. Don't know if they'd match an Aussie site, though. I'll have to check out PetShed & see if they require script for Interceptor and how price compares with the cheapest US internet place I can find.
Just curious, isn't Revolution primarily a heartworm product (all of which need a script in the US) that also treats parasites like fleas & mites? I don't know about cats, but it's pretty important to keep dogs on a regular heartworm regimen. I prefer to seperate my heartworm/internal parasite med from one for external parasites like fleas, ticks, & mites because Top Spot Plus seems to be the only med that's really effective for ticks.
Even if PetShed will ship products that require a script in the US now, I wouldn't be surprised if that changes sometime in the future. The feeling I get is that the manufacturors get pressured from US vets to discourage/prohibit legitimate non-US suppliers from shipping meds requiring a script in the US without one. Might also be technically illegal (under some trade laws, I'm sure little to no risk to the buyer).
