I've been looking for a good, quiet HSF for my OEM e6600. I've been looking at the Tuniq Tower 120 and the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro. Which is better and/or are there better coolers out there. I would like to OC. Thank you.

I would suggest the Zalman CNPS9500 LED used by MaximumPC to build the Dream Machine 11.
According to MaximumPC they were "unable to get the Conroe's temp to increase one iota under load. Incredible...". They built DM11 with a X6800.
The are available at
http://www.directron.com/cnps9500led.html
for $53.99

thermalright ultra 120 would be the best choice. It even makes the nautilus 500 look bad provided u have a good fan.And the nautilus is a water cooling solution.

I got my E6600 system up and running over the weekend. E6600 at 3.0ghz and Giga-Byte DS3 mobo.

I am using a Scythe Ninja with the factory 120mm fan. I have been very impressed with the performance so far. I have yet to see the CPU get over 32' C under heavy load.

I ordered it from Newegg.com for $39.

The thing was a monster to install. It put all those TV stands and assemble yourself desks to shame. There was one point where I was balancing the MB between my mouth and knee while trying to hold the mounting brackets on one side and screw in the back plate on the other. I almost had to ask my wife for help, do you realize the amount of heckling and teasing that would have cause in my household?

This is a huge change from my old blow dryer sound levels in the old box to absolute silence. I actually have to look at the case fans to see if the system is on. Looks like I might have to add some case lighting to make that easier.
