Good Security Protection?

I have Spybot: S&D, Adaware, Windows Defender, MS Security Baseline Analyzer, and Avast Antivirus Pro.

Those are good programs to protect my system right. (OS: Win XP x64)

Avast Antivirus Pro.

For detection rates of Avast Pro, please see the AntiVirus Detection Rate Thread. Might I suggest Kaspersky (works with XP64) for maximum antivirus protection? It also has hourly updates against emerging threats and does not use much RAM. The AOL Active Virus Shield (uses the Kaspersky engine and is free to home users) lacks the proactive protection (but has the standard realtime protection) of Kaspersky, but proactive protection does not work in a 64bit environment anyways, so IMO, no reason to pay the extra money for Kaspersky if you are using a 64bit OS when the AOL AVS should do the trick. Be sure to follow mechBgon's installation guide for AOL AVS. If you do not mind waiting for an MiR, Kaspersky is now FREE after MiR.

Spybot: S&D, Adaware

Good back in the day, but not really that great compared to other antispyware applications available now. John in the past has informed me of how effective SuperAntiSpyware is at detecting and removing spyware and that it's realtime protection will not slow down your system the way that spyware doctor and spysweeper sometimes do. (not sure if the realtime protection of superantispyware works in xp 64, but the scanning engine does).
