Holding down and beating a guy with a bat is decent? And that same guy being beaten is a vigilantly? Oh, wait, he was supposed to know about these KIDS and take them into account while possibly pondering his last moments on earth?

This here is failtroll at it's best. Look at all the responses you are getting to lube with.

NOW, these kids may have a chance to live a normal(ish) life not being raised by people who would do such a thing.

Dude I think the evidence is clear that it was a good shoot, nobody is denying that now. I'm just saying it is a tragedy that the children have lost their parents. The chances of those kids living a normal(ish) life are approximately zero.

That seems more reasonable than what I've read in the thread here. It may be approximately 0, but it is still higher than before.

I think it's depressing when we need phrases like 'good shoot' in the lexicon.

Whatever led up to the shoot is never good, and the results (whether they deserved it or not) isn't good for the victim of the bullet(s). Why don't people just back away from a fight/argument? Because they have a gun.

Is it called 'good' so that we can support gun violence with a clearer conscience? Is the gun our new accuser, trier and punish-er to make everyone into a cop? Cops will love that ;-|

It's always sad to me.

The etymology comes from investigations of police shootings. Originally, if they were not justified it was a bad shoot. Opposite of bad? I think you can figure it out from here.

That is just some sick shit right there. The best thing that happened to two small children was that their parents were killed? Christ man, have you no human decency?

When the parents are human garbage who attack and try to murder other people with baseball bats, there's nothing decent about them. The kids are better off now and so is society.

Um, this is Wisconsin, we are a little more civilized up here. We do NOT tolerate vigilantes like they do down south.

Yes, the criminals and rapists in WI really prefer unarmed defenseless victims.

It was zero before as well. This changes things up to where they might actually stand a chance.

The zero's here were the parents.

It is called "good" so we can define the valid use of a firearm in a defensive use.

Your "because they have a gun" statement is utter bullshit.

"Justified shooting" covers that quite well (and in my opinion much more accurately than the other term) while requiring the utterance of a mere three more syllables.

When criminals and attackers are shot it is ALWAYS a good thing. It reaffirms our most basic natural god given right to defense against evil.

Taking a human life is never good, even if justified. If you think it's good to take a human life, then you're what we call a sociopath.

No. You don't understand the world you live in or natural rights.

When you stick your hand into a bear cave are you not suprised that the bear kills you?

This is a natural right of man. This is god given. It is a natural law. A law of nature and of man.

If it were a free state he couldn't be detained or arrested. But it's not. It's one of those fucked up states.

If you lived in this state you would know you are so wrong..... There are only two counties in the state this would happen, Milwaukee and Madison. Two counties out of 72 in the state and the reason this state is blue and so F'ed up! For gosh sakes goggle Mayor Tom Barrett and watch the video's and you can see what a dam clown he is! Hell while your at it watch the video on Lena Taylor, Gwen Moore and for Madison thow in Tammy Baldwin.

In 65+ counties he would have never had to go through this crap but in Milwaukee look out.

"My message to my troops is if you see anybody carrying a gun on the streets of Milwaukee, we'll put them on the ground, take the gun away and then decide whether you have a right to carry it."

...OK, so let me get this right:

WI is a state in which open carry of a handgun is legal.
WI isn't a true stop and identify state.
As in all places, a search of your person requires (reasonable) suspicion of a crime.

SOooo...on what legal ground is he standing? Get the SAF or NRA to fund someone's legal fees, open carry, get tackled, sue for damages and watch the fireworks.

Update: Prosecutors are confirming that shooting the two criminals was justified, no charges will be filed.

That man owes his life to his decision to exercise his 2A rights.

Prosecutors won't charge janitor, say he killed teens in self-defense

The district attorney's office determined that at one point Bell grabbed Rossetto from behind and pulled him onto the stairs, while Alls punched the janitor at least once and Miller repeatedly hit Rossetto with a small, souvenir baseball bat.

Rossetto drew his gun and shot Miller in the chest as she was hitting him. Seconds later, he shot Bell, who had him in a chokehold.

The district attorney determined that Rossetto believed that his actions were "necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself."

Give him an award maybe. You really wonder why anyone beats another person with a bat especially if he is being held down. I could see a scenario where he Molested the Girl and they were beating him up or it could be racially motivated.

What's unfortunate is the prosecutor even has a choice of prosecuting or not. There needs to be a state law that prevents the prosecutor from charging him with a crime in the first place. He should also be afforded civil immunity from lawsuits to keep the criminal family from going after him. Fucked up state is what it is.

Have they kept this guy in jail the entire time? For committing no crime?

From the article. Talk about fucked up.
He said police still have Rossetto's .40-caliber gun and his cellphone.
