Ya, I think all "rebates" come in that form now. At least, I haven't seen a real "check" in years.

This one looks tempting, and is right at the size I was looking for. Anyone think we will see deals better then this as the holiday season continues? Or is this a good one to bite on?

If I am not mistaken this is the same one that is Microcenter branded in their store for $99.
I am running 2 of them in Raid-0.
All I can say is NICE! 540Mb/s average...

If you need an SSD now, I would consider it.

If you're waiting for a good price on SSD's, I'd wait. I'm betting in December/Jan we will see better sales as tech matures more and they dump for gen 3 SSD's.

Ok... So I picked up two of these to replace the single 15k SCSI drive that was my boot drive... My question is... To RAID or not to RAID? As I understand it, TRIM isn't supported on SSDs in a RAID config, so I'm trying to figure out how big of an impact this will make on performance. Also, is there some garbage-collecting util that can be periodically run on these to make up for the loss of TRIM? TIA...

I haven't really felt like corsair drives went through as much scrutiny as other more popular sandforce drives that have been used through and sideways but I reckon it's still a tempting deal. Is there something I don't know about corsair force models?
Or are they good to go?

I agree. While I am a big fan of Intel for their reliability, I decided to upgrade to this 120GB and put my Intel 80GB SSD in my notebook. I was looking at maybe a 64GB SSD for my notebook, but I decided to get a bigger and faster one for my desktop at the same time.

Over the years, I have had good luck with Corsair rebates. That being said, it seems like all these companies are getting stingy on fulfilling the rebates. So make good copies of your submission before you drop it in the mail.

Now I wish I had gotten the F120 instead of the Phoenix Pro. Meh, both of them (along with the the Vertex 2) are all right around top of the SSD charts last I checked. Would have been $20 cheaper to go Corsair, but had to deal with rebate. Oh well lol

FYI - the link to the rebate form is NOT the one you need to mail-in so pay attention and read!

follow the rebate link AND THEN go to the pre-registration link to get the rebate form to copy and mail in with your UPC code.

just more hoops they make you jump through to hopefully mess people up so they don't have to pay off the rebate. -_-
