Good SSD deals?

Best I've seen so far were the 240/256GB M500 at Newegg on SS for $90, and the 512GB Toshiba Q series at B&H for $200. Plus, I guess Amazon has the 1TB 840 EVO for $400.

I guess, ideally, I would like to see prices half of that, but perhaps not until next year.

Tigerdirects BF ad shows an M500 256GB for $90 I think. That was going to be my fallback in case newegg doesn't come through with something really good.

Newegg has had a couple of good prices on SSDs in the last week or so but come to find out they are after a $20 mail in rebate.....please, please don't go back to that nonsense Newegg. I thought we were done with rebates.

The 480GB Intel 730 for $200 is a really good deal too for a quality drive, but not for laptops.

I don't think it's for all products, but it looks like it's for the M500 now, so hoping it will be on Friday too. Yes, it's only for TD. Check out their main page for details.

The extreme pro (sandisk) 480GB has been around $200 at amazon on flash sale and Adorama ; I would avoid the 500 and go with the 550 if you go that route. The 1TB 850 pro is $550 at newegg.

The Sandisk Ultra II 480 is $179 at Amazon and Newegg. The 240 is $90 at Amazon (a few bucks more at Newegg).

As noted above, the Crucial M500 is $90 at TD (and Amazon has matched). The $25 off $100 using PayPal applies to two of these at TD (checked this morning), so that's a pretty sick deal IMO ($.032/gb).

The real question is this: How much are you willing to pay for SPEED and, relatedly, how much speed do you really need? If the M500 is enough (and you need/want trwo drives), this is hard to pass up.

Nice. I hate when Newegg does this though...none of the promos apply there, obviously. It's actually a better deal on Newegg's site right now with Visa Checkout ($359 - $25).

I went for the Sandisk Extreme Pro for $184.99 at Newegg (using the $25 off for Visa Checkout). At $0.38/gb, it's slightly more than the 2x240 M500 deal at TD (using the $25 off for PayPal), which is $0.32/gb), but I wanted a single larger drive, and the Sandisk is faster, has a longer warranty, and more features. I also prefer Newegg to TD, but that's just personal preference.
