These were cheaper at Monarch last week before they jacked their prices WAY up. Wait another two weeks and I'll bet these will drop another 10%. But it is good to see someone other than Monarch carrying them, as Monarchs pricing got way out of control being the only retailer selling them.

is this right? the 3200 on socket 754 is 2.2GHz and 512 cache. shouldn't the socket 939 3200 only be 2.0 GHz? otherwise this looks the same as the 3500

I'd definitely believe that over what newegg lists on a processor that appeared in their lists yesterday.

So what will be better for transfering vhs to dvd? Socket 754 with single channel memory and 200mhz more, or 939 with dual channel memory but 200mhz less?

It seems dual channel memory does not help in games by much, but how about the stuff that Intel does better than AMD?

actually games may be one of the only places the see a nice boost from dual channel, the other stuff like encoding and other cpu intensive tasks will benefit more from the extra clock speed.

So which board :::shutter::: are you guys planning on getting?

They have the 1.8 939 for only $169...that's my choice when I find a acceptable mobo... May have to wait until NF4 or even AMD starts to make chipsets again. Nforce2 MCP-T mobos were a dream to work with...not so for these rounds IMO.
