good video card for watching DVDs on a tv

i'm looking for a video card that has TV out for watching DVD's from a dvd rom.
currently i'm looking at 3dfx v3 3500. the card run's everquest pretty well and the system is a 350 amd k6... which i heard 3dfx works better.

with this video card, will it just output the video? or will sound be played on tv as well?

what about dvdroms? how important is selection of dvdrom? i can get a good deal on a pioneer dvdrom... not sure on which model.

To watch DVD on TV, I suggest you get a Hollywood dvd decoder. It has the best image quality wise. But if you insist on video card, the Ati Radeon series should be in your consideration.

I would recommend the ATI Radoen All In Wonder. Not only is the 3d simply amazing in games, but it comes with tv out, as well as tv in, capture and a software DVD decoder. Eek, just looked at your specs, dunno if 350 has the horsepower to run software dvd......
