Well now look at how MK1 runs on it lol.IMO Nintendo is much like Apple in that the hardware is less powerful than the competition, but what they do well is the software optimization. I mean it runs MK11 beautifully. Should that even be possible? lol
That being said...their hardware improvements from one gen to the next hasn't been remarkable since SNES to N64. I don't expect the Switch 2 hardware to be a huge jump, but we'll see.
I know that one just came out, and admittedly I have not played it. And will not. Friend told me about the super-excessive DLC. Get a character through DLC, great. Oh, but now you need to pay more JUST TO GET THE CHARACTER'S VOICE-OVERS? Holy frick. No thanks, WB.Well now look at how MK1 runs on it lol.
Only if you are into Mario/Luigi/Zelda games.Does it make sense to buy a switch
And at this point in its lifecycle and there being strong rumors that Switch 2 has backwards compatibility? Line up for a launch of next gen switch and enjoy it for 5-7 yearsOnly if you are into Mario/Luigi/Zelda games.
More than just those. The Switch has a bunch of well received exclusives. Xenoblade games, Fire Emblem games, Pikmin, Metroid, Mario and Rabbids, Kirby games, Animal Crossing. And, of course, the behemoth that is the Pokémon franchise.Only if you are into Mario/Luigi/Zelda games.
Or buy the current one when it's discounted and wait for Nintendo to release the Switch 2 OLED variantLine up for a launch of next gen switch and enjoy it for 5-7 years
Are there games you want to play on it?Does it make sense to buy a switch if I have a PS5, an iPhone with a subscription to arcade games and a PC with many games
Nintendo never discounts. If you want a system cheap gotta buy used.Or buy the current one when it's discounted and wait for Nintendo to release the Switch 2 OLED variant
It's all about the backwards compat. If it comes out and it's not, I'll buy a Switch OLED for the long haul. If it is, I'll buy as close to launch as possible and hope that some of my games that remain unplayed because of my perceived performance issues (Astral Chain) will get some sort of FPS boost mode or something.Nintendo never discounts. Nintendo finally admitted that the Switch 2 will be (at the very least?) announced in their fiscal year (ends in March).
Fresh leak of the Switch 2, seemingly confirming that it comes with 12 GB of ram and 256 GB drive. Also screen is bigger.
