So umm more games are coming on release date..... Umm ok Nintendo, why were these not announced already? It's not like all of a sudden one day you decide to port a game over to your system and it's done. Plus, they are ports of OLD games too.

World of Goo, I literally have no idea why they are even porting it over, that game while it was fun, it's from 2008 and it's been out on mobile devices forever.

Maybe if you count the streaming service as legitimate gaming which I do not.

I own a shield tv with the X1 processor and find very little to play on it. The best use of it besides streaming tv and movies is as an emulator.

They are obviously disorganized this launch. Here is the fanmade chart I saw:

I was going to get the Binding of Issac and I might still get it while I can get a Prime Discount (because it's a physical release) just to have something other than Zelda to have to play day one. The other option would be I Am Setsuna but I hear it will be $40 for a digital copy. I am a sucker for JRPGs though.

By the end of Spring I will be happy with my library even if launch day sucks. Snipperclips looks fun and apparently will be cheap. I wanted Has-Been-Heros anyway (looks fun) for PC but a portable version sounds better. I will pick up Mario Kart and whichever of the two F Zero/Wipeout clones is better and that will get me to Mario (or at least Splatoon 2).

Streamed games tend to have very high input lag for me. It is difficult to play at times with high latency.

Look's like I'll have at least 5-6 games for the switch by years end. Not bad. Zelda, Bomberman, Mario, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem and Splatoon. Might be a good point to pick up Rayman Legends for the kids. Already have MK8 on the Wii U. NBA 2k18 will be purchased for my ps4 pro, most likely Yooka-Laylee as well.

Xenoblade doesn't have a release date at all which basically means it's not going to be released this year. Not even a fall or a holiday time, just 2017. And Fire Emblem is 2018. There's not many great games to play this year if you only have a Switch. It's even worse than the WiiU.

Anyone who thinks Mario Odyssey is really coming out this year is insane. Not a chance in hell it comes out on their initial release date. That's just not how Nintendo works.

I think I'd be a bit more hopeful with the date if we see some extended gameplay footage by about... June or July.

The fact that they can't even get a mario kart port out at launch just says it all.

Also, I'm getting more and more pissed that they won't even sell the actual battle levels for mario kart wii u as dlc.

The Pro Controller pre-orders keep selling out like crazy. They were on Amazon for like five minutes and on Gamestop's site for about 10 minutes. I really wanted to get one on launch day when I went to pick up my pre-ordered Best Buy Switch so I can take advantage of a Best Buy points bonus, but now I am terrified they are going to be sold out of Pro Controllers for months and I won't have one to play Zelda. I might just try to go pre-order one at a Gamestop store today.

You can still buy a controller + zelda bundle on gamestop. Lost out on my 20% prime discount for zelda but I'd rather know I am getting the controller on release day.

Yeah I saw that, but I really don't want the bundle.

I think the problem is Nintendo underestimated how many people don't want to play Zelda on the frankencontroller that comes in the box.

Personally I just really want a D pad for VC and the Pro Controller is the only way.

They only have two million units worldwide foe the Switch which is basically nothing. That means probably even less controllers. I wanted the Pro controller as well but I can wait for it.

For sure. I called around some Gamestops before Bestbuy.com went live to get an idea if what I could do after work, and all of them around me (in a pretty major city) only got 4-6 Pro Controllers for pre-order. One guy (the one with six) told me that was in comparison with 24 Switches for pre-order. So they have one fourth the controllers as Switches.

I think Nintendo underestimated how many people want a real controller.

MatPat of the Youtube channel "The Game Theorists" had an interesting interview/debate with Reggie Fils-Aime about whether or not Nintendo should stay in the console market. It's interesting because it's actually a Nintendo executive making a direct argument for Nintendo staying in the hardware business, rather than fanboys arguing on Nintendo's behalf, and MatPat does raise some fairly tough questions regarding Nintendo's sales and stock value as of late. Worth a watch.

Animal Crossing and Mario Golf aren't system sellers so I don't expect either of those two for a while and with Metroid, we can only hope.

Funny, Animal Crossing is the only thing that got me to almost want a GameCube years ago, and I really liked it on the original DS. I probably wouldn't have time for it nowadays, though. But really, I only se 2 "system sellers" listed as set in stone, to me: Mario Odyssey and Zelda. Kart is a port, I'd just stick with my Wii U for that.
