If you are a fan of Geometry Wars and Resogun, you would like GEM. If you don't like those games, chances are you won't like GEM either.

I only played through the first couple levels yesterday. It's definitely a lot harder than I anticipated. I don't fully understand the way the meter works showing you how much power you have left for the different weapons, but I found myself running out of power A LOT last night and either getting hit because of it (and losing my multiplier) or dying. Once I understand that I will definitely have a better grasp of it. It's very fast paced though with a lot going on, and I'm a huge fan of the style/music/graphics/sound in the game.

Anyone else having issues with their pro controller's left joystick? Where the stick rubs the edge of the circle, it's developing a white powder substance around both the stick and on the circle's edge. At the same time, the stick has become increasingly scratchy when I have it pushed forward and I move it slightly left or right. It doesn't feel smooth like the right stick does, or when I do the same motion holding it down instead of up. It also audibly creaks when I slowly move it from center position to up.

I've done pretty much nothing with it other than play Zelda for 4-8 hours a day since launch, which requires a lot of forward movement. I know that's an excessive amount of playing, but shouldn't be this way after just a month. Reminds me of the issues with the N64 analog stick after playing Mario Party.

Not yet but I do expect that. Every controller I have had since ps1 dual shock has done that to varying degrees.

Hmm...I own every system and have never experienced this with any of them except N64 that I can recall. I'm going to open it up tonight and see if cleaning it out helps. Pretty disappointing for a $70 controller.

The o my controller I have never seen this in any capacity from is my Xbox elite controller. However for $150 it better not lol. The plastic simply rubs off and leaves traces behind that feel scratchy. The elite controller looks like metal there so maybe that's why it hasn't done it?

I've never had any problems with analog sticks scraping like you guys are mentioning, on any controller ever.

I've had the scratchy analog sticks in the past, especially on Nintendo 64. Hasn't been as big of a problem in recent years though.

When are they gonna update the store? I have a 200gb card in my switch and there is nothing I can do with it. Can play vids, cant play music. Its getting rather boring. My New 3DS XL has apps, can play mp3 files and such.

I have some file on the SD card but the Switch has no built-in app to play or use anything.
I'm still not following what that has to do with the store. Are you expecting them to put out media players on the store or something? They have not announced any such media playback applications as of now so you are going to be waiting a long time if that is the case.

Or at least netflix or a web browser. The system is more than capable.

You're crazy. It happens with absolutely every controller and happened on my Pro controller on launch day. The N64 issue you insist on comparing it to is COMPLETELY different and comes from the mechanism inside wearing down. The stick hitting the physical limit like it's supposed to and having the expected contact wear is, well, expected. I can show you the same dusty scratches on every Dual Shock ever made.

Netflix would be likely but they may pass on a browser. Not because it couldn't work or doesn't make sense in a portable, but because it's been an easy in for homebrew in the past.

I've had this on just about every controller I've ever owned as well, to varying degrees. Showed up on my Pro pretty quickly and I wasn't sure if it was just dust/grim collecting around it or if it was the stick material wearing. Bit of both probably. Seems to have shown up more quickly than I remember in the past, but it's never been an issue in terms of performance. The sticks on all my older controllers are still smooth.

I've only ever had the scrape issue happen on my PS3 controller. I have PS1 and 2 controllers that still have not had that issue.

Anyone notice the pricing on the games announced. Odd pricing (not the normal $59.99), and then overpriced for things that are dirt cheap elsewhere. It really is a pretty pathetic lineup overall. This console is most likely going to do only as well as Wii U if that.

Yeah the launch lineup wasn't great but they look to have a steady stream of software planned through the rest of the year. Will be interesting to see if they can maintain it. It's certainly a much better start than the Wii U, and the messaging has been a lot better. The Switch may not end up a massive success but I don't think we'll end up looking back on it the way we do at the Wii U.

The WiiU had a MUCH better start than the Switch. There was a lot more 3rd party support for it initially. Much more so than a the Switch.

Both are/were lackluster. What is bothersome is that 90% of the switch lineup are re-releases and very old games. Its not like we expect new IP's, but come on, if you are going to rush out a new console have something for it that we didn't already play 5 years ago. Zelda barely counts since it was supposed to be a WiiU title and was already in the works and clearly has optimization issues.

Yeah I'm not sure how one can say the Switch lineup is something to get excited about. Every Nintendo game is a Wii U port (Zelda included) until Mario comes out, which they say is holiday 2017, which I'd bet money that it's not going to happen and will be pushed back. After I finish Zelda and get bored of GEM, I don't think there is a game I'm interested in until Mario comes out.

Someone tell me I'm wrong but there seems to be no way to see all of the available games through the eshop, just best sellers and recent releases. Had to go to nintendo's site to get that list and even then had to jump through hoops to find it. I mean what the hell, just port over the layout from the wii u and cut the stuff you don't need. This isn't hard.

Also, what case is everyone using?

Yea the shop sucks. For the few demos there are, I had to type them in to search for them since there isn't any way to see them without it or a link from the new stuff.

The case I have is the Sheika Slate case that came with the special edition version. It's really nice but there are tons of great cases out there for this.

I wish it were possible to keep different saves for Breath of the Wild like you could in the very first game on NES. Such as it is you can save your game manually but they will all be replaced by autosaves eventually.
