As usual, Best Buy has another weekly sale going on. This one has some advertisements on display in the store for once, but here it is anyway.

All Lego games (for all systems) are $19.99 at Best Buy this week. For Switch that means:
Lego Worlds (regularly $39.99)
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 ($49.99)
Lego Ninjago Movie ($49.99)
Lego City Undercover ($29.99)

Not bad considering you usually pay $10 more just for the pleasure of owning a game on the Switch. I picked up all 4 for $70 including tax with GCU.

On another note, my physical Switch game count is now over 20.

Captain Toad can run. It's been a few years since I played the game, but if I recall correctly it was done by holding down A.

You're right, he can "run". He's still not that fast, at least on 3D World he wasn't. I don't think I ever ran even after discovering he could, other than one the time I had to have him jump to the last star and I only had like 3 seconds left.

My count is 2: Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild. One of them is the best game of its franchise, and the other is Breath of the Wild.

I only bought Breath of the Wild physically. For the rest, it's the digital life for me. Odyssey, MK8D, Doom, and Snipperclips. Next game I'll get will probably be Hyrule Warriors; held off on getting it on Wii U or 3DS even though I was interested, and that looks like it was a good call.

I swear by Snipperclips, but that really requires someone to play with. How do you feel about Sonic games? Mania plays very well on the Switch.

I'll only buy digital if it's on sale. Getting 20% off physical games is hard to pass up.

Are digital games tied to a specific Switch console? I could swear I heard that somewhere. That would completely kill digital for me on the Switch. If it's like PS4 where it's tied to an account I usually prefer digital to physical if the prices are equal.

Helping my brother setup a HT in his basement using an XGIMI H1 (beastmode LED projector). Had to take a break for some MK8D! btw, if you are having problems getting a picture through an HDMI splitter, just go into the Switch's settings under the TV setting and turn off "Match TV".

They are finally tied to an account. Welcome to the 21st century nintendo! But their game saves are still tied to a single console. Come on Nintendo, you want a portable console but if you lose it, damage it, or get it stolen, shit out of luck on saves.

Even if you damage the console and send it to Nintendo to repair, they most likely will not be able to get you back your game saves.

One of the IGN.com news editors, his USB-C port on his switch wasn't working anymore so he sent it to Nintendo for repair about a month ago. They sent him back his switch within a week which is actually pretty fast but they sent a note with it saying that they could not recover his game saves. Such BS. It's a freaking USB port. Has nothing to do with memory.

It's like having your iPhone repaired for a faulty lighting charging port and them wiping your phone and saying sorry had to delete everything. Nintendo seriously needs to get this save game stuff worked out soon. Screw the internet play, screw the virtual console. There's zero reason why this hasn't been implemented yet. Whether it be cloud backup, micro sd card backup, computer, whatever.

It's just hard to find good original content for the switch at the moment. Lots of remakes or special edition/ultimate edition stuff. Also a lot of indie games which I mostly don't look at as I'm over pixel art and with so many indie games given out to PSN+ members on PS4 every month I can afford to be choosy. Then again after starting a new job a few months back I haven't had much time for gaming at all. Couple hours a night here or there is all I can do unless I have nothing to do on a day off. I'm not a Bayonetta fan or I'd get that.

Anyway I'll just hold out for the next major release and go from there.

At least you have Project Octopath Traveler in July. That game looks really good from all the previews so far.

That's most likely what they do but they acknowledge that your saves are screwed. It's such BS. It's freaking Nintendo. It's not like they wouldn't have the technology to transfer shit over either.

Saves should go on SD card and SD card should work on any switch system with your ID on it. Couldn't make it any more simple.

How do they do it now, if you want to play on a friend's Switch with your account? Does it just not transfer if you log in online under a different user?

The combination of kids and the physical game size is driving me crazy. They keep losing them. It never felt like such a large issue with the kid's 3ds since I never played it and the majority of the games purchased were used and under $10. New switch games at $60 and them losing them is driving me crazy.

Rayman is on sale again for $20 at Best Buy.

So I picked up that and Portal Knights for $20 a piece, and reluctantly bought Rocket League for a 2nd time, which is $10 off across platforms, so $30 on Switch.

Portal Knights was semi enjoyable on PC when I played it with a friend. I haven't played it since just after it went out of Alpha, though. Hoping it satisfies my Minecraft fix more than Dragon Quest Builders did while I wait hopefully for that to be available in physical format someday.
