So crazy thing- games can chose to not support the pro controller. That is the case for Snipperclips or Blaster Master. You can't even use it to get back the home menu on these games. Blaster Master gets a patch in a week though.
Wait wtf? Are you serious? That is some horse BS. I have two Pro controllers because my girl wanted one of her own and it's cheaper than buying a set of Joycons. That's freaking retarded.

Yeah it completely caught me off guard in Snipperclips, you have to share Joycons for that title. I had to get up and walk to the Switch in the dock to hit the home menu button to get back to the home. I shit you not.

I haven't bought Master Blaster yet because frankly I already have a backlog on this thing but apparently it does HD Rumble good so I might get it later.

On another note if someone wants a battery charger the Anker PowerCore+ 20100 is the way to go. It's pricy but it can charge the Switch in a worst case scenario (brightness and volume 100% in BOTW) with the provided USB C cable. And it just is a nice product period that is $10 off on EBay right now:

That's almost as retarded as Nintendo INSISTING that the Wii U Tablet controller stay on, screen and all, at ALL times while the system is in use. I use the damn Pro controller to play Zelda and the tablet is always on. I can turn the screen off in the home menu but it just lights up again the instant I hit any buttons on a completely different controller.

It just sits there, draining its battery, doing NOTHING for me not even showing me a damn over world map of hyrule so I could have a clean ui free main screen and then when the battery dies I get stuck on a puzzle in a shrine because it needs the tablet's motion controls to finish. Now I can't progress further until I charge this damn thing on its dock a few hours. -_-

It sucks. And besides the tablet exclusive puzzles the whole game is perfectly playable with the pro controller even if the tablet's battery gives out. How simple would it have been for Nintendo to make a feature to turn off the tablet completely when using the pro controller on the Wii U? I do what I can to mitigate it by turning down the dimness all the way and muting the volume but the tablet still needs recharging every three hours.

Think about that in Zelda time. You could easily be left with recharging the tablet 20 times over the course of playing Zelda alone, and heaven help you if you let it die and get by solely on the pro controller when you stumble across a rare puzzle that requires it.

Still haven't seen Nintendo release a statement about the crappy dock (removed from their store) and bugs and joycon issues. Unless I'm looking at the wrong websites.

I read the statement yesterday. Reggie Fils Aime himself said they just can't make enough docks right now and it was not anticipated.

http://www.polygon.com/2017/3/10/14885702/nintendo-switch-dock-scratch

The company sells additional docks, but Fils-Aime told Time that the product is currently impossible to find — which many first noticed after Nintendo’s website updated to show that it wasn’t available at any national retailers.

“The production quantity is just not ramping up as quickly as we hoped it would,” he said. “So it’s a pure availability situation. More will be available shortly.”

I don't think so. Reportedly the left one doesn't have a physical antenna at all. It is a hardware issue.
He was talking about the game lacking Pro controller support (such that you can't even use the Pro controller to return to the menu). That is going to be fixed in 1 week.

Nintendo..prepared as always *yawn*. *eyeroll* You'd think they were new to this game.

I'm sorry but anyone throwing money at this system has been had.

Hahaha wow. Ive been playing the crap out of Zelda for the last week with no issues. Both my joycons work, no scratches on my unit because of dock and no dead pixels. Everything just works.

Gotta love the Nintendo haters around here.

Those are wide spread issues, no one is just making this up.

Exactly. It's not as if one guy had this stuff happen and then it gets reported everywhere. This is thousands of people with the same couple problems and now we know Nintendo is aware but doesn't give a damn and tries to sweep it under the rug.

So what you are saying is that the joycon not having an antenna is not a problem, the doc being able to scratch the screen doesn't matter because you didn't have it happen. how many times have you pulled it out and inserted it and I don't mean being careful because you know the screen can scratch either? You are also saying that dead pixels and off color screens isn't a real thing? Right here on these forums There is evidence that some screens are bad and the brightness and colors are not the same. It's just poor quality control.

Except, I'm not a Nintendo hater, but I don't condone poor quality and bad business practices. This 'console' is nothing more than a peripheral seller. After the joke that the Wii U turned out to be (and yes, I own one), and what looks like another joke, I don't plan on buying the Switch, and from everything I'm reading (pretty much everywhere) it's wise decision.

That being said, my post was in regards to them not being able to produce the very thing they are trying to sell. It's an every console they release issue.

Dead pixels are an industry standard thing. One or two are within the accepted norm throughout the entire industry not just the switch. I take my switch out of the dock every night as I play some Zelda before bed. Do you try and do a warranty claim on your TV as well when it has a dead pixel? I guess if Sony tells you to pound sand on a dead pixel it's ok but God forbid anything Nintendo has one then it's shoddy manufacturing.

You got a dead pixel that annoys you? Go and either exchange or return the unit. The same thing everyone else does in the same situation if you buy a TV, iPad, Vita, etc.

This has been my experience.

2 extremely minor glitches:

1. I had to press the sync button once on the right Joy-Con.

2. I set it up Thursday night after midnight (got it at midnight launch). Removed from dock and turned it on Friday morning (3/3). I had to remove and reconnect the game card.

Actually I have had tvs replaced for dead pixels by the manufacturer but that's beside the point. You are glossing over real problems with this thing.

IMO Nintendo should have just have released the system without the crappy dock and priced this at around 200 bucks. Have the dock as a separate purchase. It's simply a portable system, there is no way to argue against this. I also think they should have just scrapped any idea of motion controls, that gimmick is long dead and I am not sure why Nintendo is trying to bring it back from the grave.

I thought dead pixels were a thing when lcd monitors first came out. Not now.
For grade A panels, dead pixels are not a problem. The problem is that Nintendo doesn't seem to be caring about the panels they are using and are using anything they can get their hands on.
