Truth. I am on my third PS5 controller now. They probably learned they can get people to pay $90 for new joycons every couple of years when the sticks drift. It's a lesson Sony has sure taken this gen.

I'm going to have to disagree with you.I think you greatly underestimate BOTW's impact. BOTW is hands down the greatest launch title ever released
Never really liked that game, I guess I just hated the look of 3D that gen and the only N64 game I ever really got into was Ocarina of Time. At least newegg teased a 3D Mario for 2025 though, might make me reconsider and get a Switch 2 if it looks Odyssey quality.I'm going to have to disagree with you.
Mario 64 is the greatest launch title ever.
Have the specs been revealed or it's just the rumors thus far?
The rumor I read was PS4 Pro lol.Just rumors but figure the Base PS4 performance is accurate.
If it's $300 then I'm not too concerned about specs. If it costs the same as a PS5 Digital it's gonna feel like highway robbery for something that can only play games at 800p like a Steam Deck. I'll say as much as I loved Odyssey and was so impressed how much they could do on that dinky hardware, it was annoying seeing all the frame drops in New Donk City playing docked (never played SMO handheld since the split joycons were the best way to control it).Have the specs been revealed or it's just the rumors thus far?
I personally couldn't care less about the actual specs or anything. If I cared about specs I'd have a high end PC to game on but I don't. It's all about the games. Good luck playing Mario Kart 9 or Metroid Prime 4 on the Steamdeck, at least in a non emulated way.
I never played Mario Odyssey or Mario Kart and wished it was higher res or had better graphics. The only game I felt that way about on the Switch was Zelda and the framerate, but I'm so sick of Breath of the Wild engine anyways that I wouldn't play another one of those games.
JFC with $80 games Nintendo can stick the Switch 2 up their asses.Ooh, the haters gonna be eatin good. The console is $449 and Mario Kart is $80. Better buy the bundle if you are gonna buy.
The game is $90 physical! Yeah f*** this system. I'll buy one when it's hacked. I'm never paying $90 for any game, I'll just pirate roms for it when it's hacked.Ooh, the haters gonna be eatin good. The console is $449 and Mario Kart is $80. Better buy the bundle if you are gonna buy.
Blech multiplayer crap apparently. Looks like it's not even worth buying the system if it's hacked.Oh nice, a Fromsoft game called The Duskbloods. Apparently it's a Switch 2 exclusive.

Mario Kart isn't going to be any kind of giant game to justify a $90 cartridge. This is Nintendo seeing how far they can push.I wonder if it's because of the cost of the carts, and Nintendo didn't want the digital price gap to be too much.

Because they know no one GAF about Donkey Kong. Way to be bastards about the game people will buy the system for though. It's probably big compared to Switch 1 games. Now they are increasing the price of games in general though, DK is $70 I believe.

Yeah DK is one of those games you buy for $30 on Black Friday because durr what a good sale and then never play. Or maybe that's just me lol.I mean DK looks cool but far from a system seller, and no one really cares about DK, myself included.
DK is $80 physical. That's going to be the norm for their smaller games now, $70 digital/$80 physical. The big first party titles look to be $80 digital / $90 physical.I do think it's fair to say that Nintendo's Switch 2 bigger games are going to be at least $70.
