Anybody else have trouble importing from Outlook? My times are all shifted by 3 hours when I imported.

**edit**: Nevermind. It looks like the import is buggy still. It seems to automatically assume Outlook imports are in PST so it time shifted mine by +3 hours.

I thought it was just me!
Time shifted by 2 hours here.

I wish it could automatically sync with Outlook, that would definately make it more of a sell for me. My calendar changes daily I frickin swear, so it would be nice if my GCalendar would auto update.

Ah well, cant have everything.

Indeed. I like Google a lot, but I still don't quite understand all the fuss sometimes everytime a 'new' product comes out. Outside of their AdSense program, they've rarely coming up with anything truely revolutionary, most of their stuff is merely evolutionary. Take what someone else has already done and just make it better. It's good business really. Not knocking that. I just think they get too much credit for being 'revolutionary' a lot of the time when they simply are taking the next logical step that somebody would've taken eventually anyway. They're just in a position now where they can be a market leader. The best thing is that it helps force competitors to respond in kind.

That being said, this is pretty nice. I know Yahoo is working on a newer AJAX version of their calendar as well to go with their new AJAX-based email system (which is very slick.) However, I highly doubt I'll use either much at all though as I rarely use my Outlook calendar as it is.

I still have not been able to import form outlook. I am importing a pst unencrypted, uncompressed file. The frame always says the connection was reset everytime I try to upload it.

But now to think of it, that file has everything in it, mail, tasks, appts. Even if it would accept it, it may not be able to load it.

Try following google's instructions for how to import it. Import the .csv file not pst.

yea, that's the problem I'm trying to figure out. (I use thunderbird)

Syncs with my Treo just fine. Export to iCal, Outlook automatically opens it and syncs. Press your sync button on the cable. Done.

hmm...i've been looking for a shared calendar solution for a while now for work, since we don't have exchange server. google calendar looks like the best web-based one so far, but i don't know if the firm would go for web-based. it'd be awesome if it were in a client

if you sync daily or more, that's a hassle.

it'd be perfect if there were an application that would go online and sync your PDA w/ google calendar.

It's great that you can add other calendars to this. It's great for sports fans. For example I added the NY Giants calendar, and now I know exactly what time they play every week for the upcoming season!
