That's not a security problem. It's preventing a security risk. Unless you can verify who signed their certificates you can not be 100% sure who you are communication with.

it seems overtly sensitive... and despite my adding domains to the exceptions list (with wildcards), it keeps flagging the same corporate sites over and over again. no problems with FF2

Again, it's not a problem or a bug. It's by design. Check out this for a better explanation.

Eh, i don't see this replacing FF due to the extensions i use in FF...we'll see how this is, but i don't see it likely being all that awesome.

what FF extensions do you regularly use? The only one I ever found really useful is the quick search on different sites.

AdBlockPlus (absolutely cannot live without), PicLens, & All-in-One Gestures (though i can live w/o if i have to).

Piclens is pretty neat. Is there a way to view files on your local machine or network with it?

Can't fault them on a thing.

It's destined for cross platform (mac, pc, linux) and open source, while using code from firefox and webkit.

Sadly, i don't think so.
Pretty sure it's browser-only for now.

The comic book walk through was pretty nice...I'll definitely give the browser a try, even though I'll be away from my desktop for an entire week.

So, IE will maintain a market share lead based on people who are too stupid to understand its shortcomings. That doesn't mean the rest of us can't be looking for something better.

I have no problems with IE. It's fast. It's compact. I never have memory problems, I never have security problems, and I couldn't possibly give 2 shits about taking time to block ads when I can just ignore them.

IE7 FTMFW.

I'll give it a try on my work Windows computer tomorrow. Hopefully they release a Linux version soon and I'll give it a go at home.

The comic suggests that you can move tabs between windows, like drag a tab from one browser window into another browser window. I'm not sure why anyone would need to do that, but that's pretty cool
