Anyone redeemed their Netflix code? After I redeemed it my next billing date still shows up as next month instead of 3-months away.
Same thing on my account.

I'm not going to die over the Netflix deal being canceled. Netflix is $9 a month, guys. After 3 years, I don't even notice it being auto-drafted out of my account anymore.
question.
can you plug this into a AVR and have it do all of this stuff or does it need to go into a TV?
If I'm not misinterpreting, I think the Marvell DE3005 is the SoC and the Azurewave is the wifi.

I can confirm that I've plugged mine into an Onkyo TX-NR609 and it works perfectly. I ended up doing the setup from my phone instead of my desktop(was saying my wifi was turned off?) and it only took a few minutes. There's no reason why it shouldn't work as long as you have a power source (if your AVR has HDMI 1.4, i think you don't even need usb).

The one thing I haven't got to work yet was having it automatically switch to the correct input when queuing up the chromecast to play something. I'm almost positive they stated it could do this during the presentation. This could be because it's plugged into the receiver and I haven't tested plugging straight into the TV yet.
That feature is weird. On my Panny Plasma it does not work at all with selecting the proper input and turning the TV on. On the Sony LCD it works perfectly. It must have something to do with being plugged in to the USB. The panny plasma does not have one and is plugged in to an outlet.
Can't remember the name of it now, but there is a standard/function that allows your TV to switch to the right input.
That's the thing, you still need some way to control say, volume. So this auto switching stuff sounds pointless and possibly an actual interference if you have a Harmony.the only downside is it messes with my harmony remote's device state.

Will the Chromecast only play content from a particular Google account or can others cast their content to the device? Thinking of the scenario where a friend wants to play a movie they have purchased on the Play store. If this is the case then that is a massive selling point imo.

Man, av controlling protocols are such a mess.

It should still show your bill date and your credit will be used at time it is due
Your mobile device doesn't stream, it just sends urls for the Chromecast to retrieve from the web.how much bandwidth it uses for streaming the chrome tab at 720P (let's say a full screen video)?
Just got my Netflix code today.
