Good luck.

truthfully, don't hold your breath. the interview process is 4-5 interviews long. i can imagine most people surviving maybe 2-3, but make sure to consider that the odds are against you. they usually interview 30 candidates for a single position.

i survived some interviews, but i didn't make the more technical ones, which was pretty stupid given that i didn't have a problem answering the questions

anyway, also take these recent statistics with a grain of salt:
http://google.blognewschannel.com/index...06/10/23/google-gets-easier-on-hiring/

be very well prepared... that is what i'd advise.

by the way, posterboy, each department interview is different... the financial interview will likely have NOTHING to do with the interview material that zoiks posted.

my interviews were via phone only. they like to know who you are, why you want to change jobs (if that's the case), what you can bring to the table, etc. then they get more technical in each successive interview. i cannot say what they will ask you on your second interview if you go that far as it's different per department, but your first interview will likely be with a recruiter who is going to just get a sense of who you are what if you're worth considering by the company.
