my interviews were via phone only. they like to know who you are, why you want to change jobs (if that's the case), what you can bring to the table, etc. then they get more technical in each successive interview. i cannot say what they will ask you on your second interview if you go that far as it's different per department, but your first interview will likely be with a recruiter who is going to just get a sense of who you are what if you're worth considering by the company.

thanks tami. your last two posts were extremely helpful! i figured that they would ask more behavioral type questions but the recruiter indicated in the email that i might be asked some technical questions. also in the position i'm applying it for, it states that i should be VERY comfortable with valuations, capm, apt, and other complex financial stuff.

i realllllllllly want this, so sorry, i know im being overly paranoid.

OP, i'm interested in hearing how your interview went. what was the schedule of your interview day? (e.g. how many folks did you talk to), and what were the toughest or most interesting questions they asked you?

hope you did well on the interview! when will they get back to you?

it went well, thanks for wishing me the best. it was in the afternoon, i spoke to two ppl.
i was asked what i felt the challenges for google were and my thoughts on mitigating the risk that it faces.

i was also asked to value a startup company and asked what assumptions i made and why in the valutation. what method i chose and why. and any other thoughts on why the my valuation should be regarded as accurate.

im studying even more hardcore as they are flying me out to mountainview for an interview there.

have you applied and are you interviewing as well?
