Since it seems this thread is being used to also help research, I've noticed one strange thing. When editing a photo (red-eye, rotation, crop), Picasa isn't actually modifying your photo. Seems OK - simply export an album to a directory for uploading to the web to share. However, I noticed that after rotating an image, exporting results in a file size approximately 1/4 of the original. So I'm assuming you would not be able to order as large a print at, say, Shutterfly (at least if you want a quality print) because Picasa has reduced the quality of your photo.
