Google OKs shopping at Newegg

Luckily, Google has given its stamp of approval to Newegg: it is now safe to shop at Newegg!

You know that Newegg is safe because it displays a little icon down in the lower right hand side of your screen: the "Google Trusted Store" badge. It's so awesome and informative and no matter what, I says right there on the screen so that the entire time you shop, you can feel safe about shopping at Newegg.

However, I've noticed that Amazon does not have the badge even though they offer all of the same products at pretty much the same price.

I think he's protesting the use of the badge at Newegg by telling everyone that Amazon has the same products and prices but no badge, which I guess he finds annoying. Does that make him an Amazon employee?

Never noticed the badge myself, but I run no-script so I never see these things. Is it new?

I rarely shop at Newegg anymore unless they have a special deal going on. I shop at Amazon instead because no even with free shipping I get everything within three days and then Amazon phone app is better than the Newegg one.

I don't have a smartphone so I have no input as to the mobile apps but the regular web shopping experience is hands down better at NE, they set the standard for organizing searches, drill down methods, and uncluttered pages. Even if Amazon has an item for a few bucks cheaper I still get it at the egg, I have yet in 8 years to have any problem with an order. As for Google, the leverage they can exert in so many fundamental internet activities is getting a little scary IMO..

Hopefully Google paid dearly for newegg real estate. A supposed 'google trusted store' is a crock of sh!t that doesn't deserve a free association with newegg, nor amazon.

Just to be clear, I'm completely annoyed with the badge. I should be able to close it if I choose. I'm equally annoyed with Newegg for thinking that they need Google's stamp of approval. I've gone from being a long time fan of Google to being disgusted with it.

I hate Newegg. They took one full week to process my order this past Christmas. Amazon on the other hand processed and shipped on the same day. I'm going to avoid Newegg every chance I get unless they have a deal that's too good to pass up but the bulk of my orders will now go to Amazon if it's in a 5 dollar difference range.

I ordered on Black Friday with $3 rush fee and two day shipping. I did the same at Amazon and Amazon came out way ahead. What's the point of a rushing fee if you can't even get it out the same week? Poor management.

the Google Trusted Stores is more then just saying newegg is legit and its safe to purchase items. you can get free purchase protection through google. if google wants to give me purchase protection for free i'm all for it. i dont really care if its because they want to track what i buy at newegg or if its because they are scared of amazon.

just download noscript and block googlecommerce.com and no more annoying google symbol.

i bought something from newegg on the 22nd and it still hasn't gotten to fedex. it also has the horrible egg saver 4-7 day shipping instead of the normal 3 day. looks like i wont be getting the package anytime soon. maybe sometime next week if i am lucky. sort of annoyed. my previous order from newegg on cyber monday took 11 days too arrive and i ended up refusing delivery.
