The schools are only doing it to Christmas, they dont do it to the other holidays especially since they are TAXPAYER FUNDED. Private schools can call it what they want.

You are advocating that tax payer dollars be used to fund religious purposes which is a clear violation of the 1st amendment (psst, 1st amendment covers more than just speech).

And if there are other tax payer funded religious holidays being promoted they should be stopped as well.

I agree 100%. They are, and have been, unfairly pandering to Christians for quite some time now. Its long past time that stopped.

I don't necessarily have a problem with the displays so long everyone has an opportunity to display their message equally which it appears the city handled well with a lottery system. Along with that no public money should EVER be used for either sides display/message. Whoever wants to put the display or message up should bear ALL of the associated costs and according to the article that was not the case. Since public money was being used removing them was the right call imo, unfortunately its going to cost the public to defend against the lawsuit now but thats just our society these days. If I was in charge I would raise the permitting fees 20 fold at the very least which should instantly end the lawsuit. The Catholic Church has very very deep pockets and they are already tax exempt, they can damn sure pay their way for their activities instead of being even bigger moochers than they already are.

Incorruptable, do you agree that the taxpayers should be giving welfare to the Catholic Church? If so do you think the same welfare should be offered to other religions?

Why do they only do this to Christmas, they would never do it to Ramadan or Diwali and Hanukkah

Unfortunately there are a lot of anti-Christian zealots here who would not dare say anything to the other religions. Bunch of morons and hypocrites.

It was a good fight defending Christmas and freedom and I did a good job exposing the hypocrisy and double standards and made an excellent case for the war on Christmas.

The war on Christmas is part of the bigger war on Christianity which will last throughout the year, there will be more attacks on Christianity. I will continue to defend Christianity and expose the double standards.

Christmas is over and this thread has served its purpose and done a wonderful job.
