On Youtube, spreading hate is perfectly OK with regards to certain religions and certain topics. When speaking against other religions and topics, they tend to ban and remove channels.

Guys like Alex Jones and many, many other "alt-right" channels have millions of subscribers. These guys spread venom against Islam, foreigners and anyone else they deem the "enemy." Yet, Youtube allows them to flourish while they have eliminated many other channels who may speak out against other religions and topics.

In other words, hate speech against certain groups is OK while hate speech against others it not OK.

I get the impression that the automated system is used to alert an expanded set of flaggers to view suspect content while blocking it when found. If the flaggers agree, it stays down. They also created a different way of dealing with some content-

Oooroo has a point to bring this up. As everyone knows I have flagged thousands of videos on Youtube (I dont have the time anymore), and had hundreds of accounts terminated. However, this took human intervention - the person who flagged the video and another person who either approved or denied the flag.

I have also had a video flagged and removed from Youtube. It does sting especially when it seems unfair. I did not bother to protest since it seemed more trouble that it was worth.

NOW....with an automated policy to keep ideas and information out of mass public consumption who knows what kind of negative impact it will have.

I was a former "Trusted Flagger / Deputy" and I see no benefit to this policy.

Instead we're supposed to believe crazy ass Felix's opinion on what is acceptable is better?
