there is nothing preventing companies from playing hardball now. EMUA clearance is sufficient.

Per a HR person I know. Lawyers are concerned about it effectively being an “experimental drug” and defending that before a Judge. They are fine with the fight when becomes a fully approved vaccine.

That specific argument has already been shot down in the courts.

These people are just against healthcare, whether it's more affordable health insurance and care, medicare, vaccines. I mean honestly, I can't take the fucking dum dums in this country anymore. There are just too many.

Isaac Asimov nailed it all those years ago.

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'

On the other side, employment lawyers are worried about workspace safety and liability to protect workers from workplace hazards.

A lot of discussion as well as making them mandatory. Not a position I would support but for high risk environments (eg hospitals, LTC facilities, etc.)

IMO, it's the loser mentality.

"I'm not well educated, I'm not smart enough, I'm inferior by this standard and little hope of catching up, so I'll just fight against it so I'll never have to put in the hard work to make myself better."

Eg the Cartman response.. Screw you guys, I'm going home!

Ultimately it's self destructive, and why the deep South and many rural areas are on the Shithole Express track.

Yea, you have a point. And in that wallowing you can find the hatred that's so often projected outwards

Tennessee is really going full-clownshoes.

She was fired for making people 14 and older aware of their legal medical options.

But of course 14 year olds are mature enough to get married and/or be forced to have babies in the state of Tennessee. It's such a mystery why they're near the bottom of the country in health and education metrics.

if companies can have deeply held beliefs, I am sure they can enforce mask and vaccine requirements for their employees. In fact, I think insurance company would be first in line to put the screws in their healrh plans to avoid paying out for lengthy hospitalization in the unvaccinated.

If you want to know the resistance to the vaccine, look no further than your VP and the shit media that propagates it:

The world’s easiest mark gets taken for a ride again.

Here’s the actual quote from the article that you conveniently didn’t link:

“I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump and it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he’s talking about,” Harris said in the clip of a CNN interview with Dana Bash released Saturday. “I will not take his word for it.”

So exactly what part of that do you disagree with?

As if Trumptards follow Daily Kos or give a fuck about what Harris says, anyway. It's an exceedingly lame attempt at bothsiderism.

The GQP is a party of cockroaches at this point. It's not like the left, which has their kooky fringe wackadoos and some bad policy and corruption - the GQP part IS the crazy fringe wackadoos, is majority bad policy and corruption, and the party leadership ENCOURAGES IT ALL!

Given his track record with political office, magazines, airlines, vodka, steaks, real estate schools, casinos, travel sites and mortgages... yeah, solid call there Kamala.

Trump should probably stay out of immunology, reserve that tremendous bigly brain genius of his for the high stakes / high RPM world of air turbine oncology.

Anti-vax used to be a fringe view by niche groups on the far right and far left. But it is now a mainstream Republican policy stance.

Getting tetanus, mumps, measles, rubella, polio, smallpox, diphtheria to own the libs.

When politics becomes paramount to public health, you become a failed state.
