Because he doesn't support the current administration he is not a Republican? I don't understand your logic, if that is what you are trying to imply. Regardless of what said party someone feels they belong to, they shouldn't have to blindly follow that said party. Did anybody just watch the Zell Miller interview on CNN? OMG, he's a total loon. They owned him six ways from Sunday, pointing out that Cheney tried to eliminate some of the same weapons systems Kerry did, that Bush also referred to our "occupation" of Iraq, and Miller was just in complete denial. Dukakis errr-Kerry got carved up tonight. First by Miller then by Mr. Go F Yourself. Miller came across as a bitter old man. He over did it, way too much anger. But Cheney absolutely owned Kerry tonight in a calm and methodical manner.

Well Kerry is officially now on the defensive. These speeches tonight were just brutal, regardless of their accuracy. It's a good thing that Kerry does better when he's been knocked down, because he's gonna need it.

OMG!! Anybody watching Matthews interview Miller on MSNBC? He's freaking crazy!! Someone has to find the transcript to this interview. Miller even said he wishes duels were still legal so he could challenge Matthews.

Truly amazing to see how angry he was/is.

Kerry will do fine. Remember 1/2 the country hasalready decided they support Kerry. The Zell Miller issue and the crap he is spewing back at Chris Mathews, which will hit the press any minute now, and the vile attack on Kerry without being able to tout there own accomplishments on issues like the economy and civil rights, envirnoment and international realtions, will be all the fence sitters need to see a change is needed in November. The dems kept the goves on in there convention and keptthigs civil. The gloves come off now, and Dems will fight for what they believe in, and it ain't what the neocons are selling, no matter how they spin it.

Did Kerry or Edwards really mention anything they have done in their Senate careers? As Wolf Blitzer tried to point out in the Zell Miller interview when the other two were saying Cheney was trying to do away with the programs. Cheney was, but as Blitzer pointed out Cheney was trying to replace them with what he felt were better programs.

I beleive the different is kerry voted against orignal procurment. Cheney did vote to stop production of those systems after the cold war ended.

I will say Miller was way over the top but Sharpton was over the top too, just not as over the top. I also really dont think Cheney was misleading, atleast not any more so than the speakers at the DNC. No one will know how this turns out, and it might not matter because good or bad it is likely to be lost in the news cycle due to mother nature slamming Florida with a category 5 hurricane.

hey, Zel Miller is a very respected and appreciated politican here in Georgia.. he brought the Hope Scholarship here, probably one of the best college scholarship program in the country...

An interesting question considering the Republicans are in control of Congress AND the White House. Where is the bipartisan leadership, indeed?
